Girls Scene Makeup - Summer 2009 Tips
You have tried out all of the popular makeup styles, but none of them seem to be outrageous enough for you. If you are looking for an outrageous, yet cute make up style, then you should look into scene makeup for girls. In order to get the whole scene makeup combination just right, it is going to take some time as it involves a lot of wild colour combinations all in one.
However, anyone out there can become a scene make up expert – yes, even you. If you are looking for some scene makeup for girl’s advice, then you have visited the right place. Within this article, we are going to give the girls some tops on how to do the whole scene makeup scenario.
First, you should start by the eyeliner. Using black is good, but blue, purple or anything bright will also work. Apply the eyeliner around the eye and on the sides, you should wing it out to give a cat type effect. When you are doing eye shadow, you should pick some eye shadow colours that are neon and bold. Smashbox, Sephora and MAC sale eye shadows that are in vivid colours and are high quality as well.
Put one colour on half of your lid and on the other half, put the other colour and blend them together using an eyes shadow brush. When you are done with this, then you should add some fake eye shadow or get some mascara. You can purchase mascara in a rainbow of colors.

I’m not a part of the scene subculture myself, but for a drama performance for my final yr I’ve chosen to look at the scene subculture..
I didn’t want to make any drastic assumptions about a scene kid’s beliefs and start stereotyping.. so could someone please help me out?
What are some of your beliefs? And how do you interact with mainstream society? Without offending anyone, is it more about individuality or a call for attention?

I agree with jesse being scene is about expressing who you are, some use the bright hair colours to rebel whilst others may just like the awsome clothes
you cant really fake being a scene, or ruin it but to be honest its the people who whine about fakes and how shit they think scene is, everybody has an opinion but unless its a positive one i dont think its fair to express it all the time. X

it’s nice to read it.. but if you really want to get scene just add scenes on myspace and talk to them.. they can give you hints..

2. cut ur hair into choppy layers
3. talk to real scene kids
4. dont copy them! scene is about being urself

People, I severely do hate stereotypes (i.e. Scene, Goth, etc. for those who didn’t know it). I say there isn’t any specific way to look or dress or talk to make you “Scene”. I’m apparently “Scene” or “Emo” as some people say because of how I dress and how I was. Don’t be a wannabe with the “my parents won’t let me!!” or “I’m thinking of becoming..” Don’t think, just do. If you want to be “Scene”, who gives a flip about what your parents have to say?! Get a life, break the rules, and just live and be who you want to frikkin’ be! Gawd frikkin’ dang Is that how pathetically stupid people these days are becoming? Geezews…You want to start a riot in a hallway? Start a riot. Cause a scene in Wal-Mart? Go right ahead! Don’t think about it, just do it. -_x

scenes just being who you want to be, you dont have to have big poofy hair or wear neon cloths cus thats just copying every one else which defys the whole idea of scene, be who you are, wear what you want and do your hair as you please, and for god sake leave the kids that are younger than you alone, if they try to dress like you or act like you or do their hair like you take it as a complement they obviously like how you dress or do your hair or how you act.
I think this website is just trying to point out the steps of how to achieve the looks of the girls you see in these photos all over the web,and there’s nothing wrong with that. If you hear a song that sounds good aren’t you going to ask who sings it? Same with this:you see the photos,they look cool,you find out how they do what they do and make it your own. Its always been like that and everyones done it before. I think people are forgeting that imitation is the sincerest form of flatery,even with it sometimes being agravating. And btw if your sitting at your computer all day complaining about how everyone is ripping off your self proclaimed stereotype,then your not really being the sceniest you could be,now are you?

I love the scene look, I came across it one day and thought “I want that hair!!”
At the end of the day though I’m not going to go on these websites and do what they say/look like to the T. I go on them, think if that style is ‘me’ and then take snippets of advice I DO like and use it for myself. I wouldn’t look at one person and copy their style completely because lets face it - that sad!! I definitely don’t follow styles exactly and mix ‘n’ match them. For example I’m also quite a fan of indie & rockabilly and have all types of clothing/accessories. I really don’t give a rats arse if you think it looks stupid - I LIKE IT!!
